DlPortIO library that interfaces a USB2LPT device, just copy the file into the lcdhype installation directory. All lcd drivers using DlPortIO should now be availaible and those LCDs can directly be interfaced via the USB2LPT device connected to a USB port.

The library supports the LPT addresses 378 (LPT1) and 278 (LPT2). Therefore make sure you have selected one of those in lcdhype _and_ in the USB2LPT driver properties dialog.

To visit the website of the USB2LPT project click the following link:

http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~heha/baste...n%20PC/USB2LPT/

:edit:

when using the usb2lpt driver it might be possible that windows blocks it because its not signed. in this case use the tool linked in the post above to disable driver signature enforcement:

How to disable driver signature enforcement

also this DlPortIO library needs the MSVCR100.dll. you can download it from dll-files.com when its not already installed on your system:

http://www.dll-files.com

just copy the dll to the lcdhype installation directory.

USB2LPT and Windows 8.1 x64 (e.g. for use with HD44780 LCDs)

1) disable signed driver enforcement, see http://www.howtogeek.com/167723/how-to-dis...signed-drivers/

2) install USB2LPT x64 drivers from http://www-user.tu-chemnitz.de/~heha/baste...USB2LPT/#driver (choose the language of your OS, i had to use "de" subfolder as my OS is a german version, "en" did not work although i use english language settings)

3) copy DLPortIO to USB2LPT bridge dll into directory of LCDHype, thats the dll attached in the previous post

4) run LCDHype
